ARCHIVE BY BACKDROP

Campaign art direction and design direction for ARCHIVE by Backdrop — a four-piece wallpaper collection reinterpreting historic designs pulled from the century-spanning Schumacher archives. The campaign visual language drew from the source material itself: a curatorial, conservation-minded aesthetic built around archival props, protective gloves, specimen labels, and the precise, ordered quality of a museum database or pristine catalog. The approach treated each design as a found object worthy of preservation — grounding the collection's sense of history before Backdrop's characteristic irreverence could reframe it. Work spanned the full launch rollout: campaign art direction, web, digital design, and social strategy.
