BACKDROP X XAVIER DONNELLY

Campaign art direction and design for Backdrop's collaboration with painter Xavier Donnelly — a four-piece wallpaper collection translating his large-scale, alla prima paintings into architectural installations. The work draws from travels through ancient Italy: ruins, celestial figures, light that exists somewhere between memory and myth. The campaign demanded theatrical, high-drama art direction to match murals designed to consume an entire room — cinematic staging, deep shadow, imagery treated less like a product shoot and more like a scene. Work spanned the full launch rollout: art direction, web, digital design, and social strategy.
